EARLY LIFE

Car Lift 3.jpg

Bill’s childhood was anything but typical.  Bill’s mom and dad were wonderful loving parents and always provided the best possible.  Unfortunately, his dad died suddenly and this was followed by his mom’s struggle with a number of illnesses that caused her to leave home for weeks, even a month at a time leaving him on his own.  Bill would often wrestle for money at school and use this to pay for his groceries.  Social Services would routinely visit the house and threaten to move Bill from his home.  Naturally, this created a tremendous amount of anxiety and depression for Bill–a lot to handle for an eleven year old.  Bill continued to read books on bodybuilding, weightlifting, powerlifting, karate, judo, and wrestling and made enough money to buy a weight set at a garage sale a mile down the road from his house. Making several trips, he carried all of the weights home.  Bill’s mom saved up enough money to purchase some extra weights and he got right to work.  Bill’s strength and confidence continued to grow and he was given a membership to a local gym.  This is where Bill’s career began to take off!

COMPETITIVE YEARS

A state champion Olympic Weightlifter named Joe Gazdik was training at the gym and noticed Bill’s power and offered to give him advice.  Bill quickly progressed and was soon competing, his first meet at the age of 15.  By 18, in just three years, Bill was at the Olympic Training Center and a member of the 24 Years of Age and Under National Squad.  Bill went on to become an International Gold Medalist, but was convinced by several legendary strongmen that powerlifting, a different strength sport altogether, was his true calling.  They were right! As a powerlifter, Bill went on to break and set over 170 state, national, and world records and win every title possible including the world championships. Bill continued to simultaneously train in the martial arts, earning black belts in Dragon Kempo and Jiu Jitsu.

As Bill’s powerlifting career began to wind down, his great friend, mentor, and coach, World’s Strongest Man winner, Don Reinhoudt, suggested that he transition to strength demonstrations and motivational speaking.  Bill began rolling up frying pans, tearing decks of cards, bending steel motorcycle parts, and ripping license plates in two. Soon, Bill found himself the number one social media star for Guinness World Records with over 330 million total views and being featured in Times Square with Mariah Carey and in the Ripley’s Believe it or not Museums around the world for tearing 29 license plates in two.  Since then, Bill has been featured in the news in over 130 countries and thoroughly enjoys inspirationally speaking to children and adults alike, hoping that his experiences can move people on their paths to individual greatness–even change the trajectory of their lives! Bill Clark’s mission is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and make the world a better place!
